Crafting Process
Molds
Each piece has a unique rubber mold that is handmade and taken from the original pieces or designs.
Wax Injection
Once the mold has been selected, hot wax is injected and examined by the artisan.
Wax Polishing
After the wax is injected, the artisan carefully polishes and refines the wax model.
Wax Tree
All wax pieces are assembled onto a wax tree.
Plaster Coating
Once a solid mold is built, it is heated and the wax melts and drains from the cylinder support, a process known as lost wax.
Casting
Molten metal is poured to penetrate every part of the cavity and is centrifuged to ensure the metal fills the entire space.
Plaster Cleaning
After casting, the cooled metal piece is broken free from the plaster mold and cleaned in preparation for polishing.
Vibratory Polishing
The pieces are placed inside a polishing vibrator to smooth their surface.
Polishing
Each piece is polished to remove imperfections and achieve a smooth finish.
Soldering
The pieces are soldered to add different components and receive their final handcrafted details.
Gold Plating
Each piece is plated in 24k gold using Cano techniques, giving it a matte gold finish that replicates the intense golden color of the original piece.
Final Washing
The finished pieces are washed and dried for a final stage of assembly and packaging before being sent to retail stores.
